The Team

Meet Nic

Nic gained an interest in design and art from an early age. He was always drawing, painting and creating. He was finally able to merge his interest in computers and art late in high school.

Nic went on to study his diploma of Graphic Design at Newcastle TAFE where he won a local design competition.

After 2 years in "the city" he missed the country lifestyle and moved back to his roots. Working as a web designer and graphic designer in Tamworth, Nic decided to launch his own design studio offering a unique approach its clients, KEO was born in September 2010. KEO covers the entire Tamworth Region and outer locations including Armidale, Gunnedah, Quirindi, Glenn Innes, Inverell - with clients as far afield as Newcastle and Sydney and even a client in Bourke!

Nic has a wealth of knowledge on the design technology in the web field, as well as extensive experience with graphic and print work.

Nic is a keen hockey player, as well as percussionist and furniture restorer. He is married to Lisa and has a bouncing baby boy, Oska.

Meet Mark

Mark has always been a self-learner, motivated to understand technology and interested in learning new skills.

Mark has been interested in computers since he got his 'puter book' at age 6. From there he tinkered with a VIC-20 (yes with a tape drive and 4KB of memory) starting out by entering other peoples' programs from magazines, then moving onto modifying those and writing small programs from scratch.

Mark's interest in computers and programming continued into High School. Mark completed two Certificate Level III TAFE courses in IT during the evenings while attending year 8, 9 and 10. He was part of a team that took out first place in the highly competitive UNSW High schools programming competition, and was part of teams that placed 3rd twice. Mark was awarded first place in the Workskill Australia (now worldSkills) Programming competition in the New England region, going on to place second in the state.

Mark continued his passion for IT at the University at Newcastle being awarded a place in University of Newcastle Industry Scholarship Scheme (UNISS).

More recently Mark has worked in e-learning for a medium sized Australian business supplying online learning, training and assessment solutions to millions of learners around the world. This has given Mark exposure to a number of technologies and techniques which combined for his passion for learning keeps him at the forefront of Web Development.

Outside of work Mark has two young boys, enjoys cycling and tinkers with home brew.

Meet Sharyn

Sharyn chose 'computers' as an elective subject at high school back in the mid-80's. It was 90% theory and 10% computer yahtzee!

Since those humble beginnings, Sharyn has enjoyed an interesting career in printing (graphic design and print management), event management (at a national level) and over the last 13 years, has worked in an online environment; mostly in content production and management, project management, social media and human factors (how we interact with websites).

Sharyn is a self-confessed content queen, website analyst and a purveyor of quality, user-centric websites.

With a mountain of experience in client management, website management, online marketing and a degree in fun, Sharyn brings to KEO a wealth of online experience that will ensure KEO's clients (you) will enjoy the best experience possible. She's not all about websites though, with brand management, print and offline collateral, you'll know you're in good hands.

Sharyn is a keen diner and would-be foodie, a mum to a young daughter and a recent Tamworth urbanite.

Meet Sarah

Sarah began her career in graphic and website design in 2000 and has since built a diverse portfolio of work including logo designs, website developments and illustrations.

From an early age, Sarah’s interest in art and creativity was evident by the many hours spent drawing and painting.  It wasn’t until high school, she discovered a different canvas in the form of a computer screen and quickly moved from paint to pixels.

After studying graphic design at TAFE, she successfully managed, designed and developed a range of print and online projects from concept to completion including corporate branding, promotional products and website developments for various companies.

Then in 2008, Sarah had the opportunity to work in Canada, where she gained extensive experience in the design and construction of various signage and displays for a Ski Resort.

Recently relocating from Darwin, Sarah is the newest addition to KEO, bringing a substantial amount of knowledge and experience in both print and online design.

Outside of work, Sarah takes every opportunity to travel and visit new places and is a keen volleyball player.
